I have ignition and "always hot" both wired to "always hot". It only draws 7 milliamps.

Quite possible, mine is a Panasonic and I aways wondered if te CD drive motor was running. Sound is OK and it was cheaper to add a switch than find another radio.

I don't dry camp, so I went ahead and connected both wires to the battery wire. I thought about opening a gap, but the wall has a void that extends the entire length of the wall, so it should get enough ventilation. I really like the Jensen. There was an immediate improvement in sound quality and install was pretty easy.

All,
UPdate on the Jensen. We are out for a week and have been using the stereo a lot since getting to the campground. The sound is so much better then the ZX75. The only static I get now is when I am searching for a new station. I am very happy with the stereo. Also, I am very glad that I went with the 975 model because the weather band came in handy the frist night when bad weather rolled through the area. So far, A+ in my book.
