yup, and will stay that way as long as he's not poked....
Other than that "glitch" my zx700 is working fine. has been so for a year now.
Nice change from my earlier experiences with a zx75 that gave me a fair bit of trouble until decided to take and extended vacation when I had the 26rlss. Which was, by the way, a simple warranty replacement item through the dealer.
Well, there is some background "white noise" I'm chasing down in the zx700, but I'm pretty sure that's related to the installation vice the unit. Honestly, I just haven't has time to properly pull it all apart and trace it out. I have "eyeballed" some fairly suspect looking connections when I installed the video fix in my unit but haven't bothered with them yet.
I've dealt with the same kind of noise before in automotive installations and it always has come down to a "problem" somewhere in the install job instead of the amp, head unit, etc.
I'm optimistic that is something very simple (IE: resistance drop over a poor connection) and an easy resolution is in there.
If not, it's still "livable". You really have to concentrate to hear it and it's only noticeable when the music/movie hits a quiet spot.
I'm pretty picky when it comes to audio......

Concertone Issue Fixed
I delayed posting until I ran this issue to ground. I have had 2 Concertone GT-3 failures. The original OEM was DOA and now the replacement failed. I lasted all of 30 minutes until the center channel popped. During the "break in" period of the replacement unit. I took the time to email Bob Fields and share with him my observations that many of the Concertone issues appeared to be with inexperience by all parties involved. I stated that I had ohmed out all the speakers and installed a filtered 12VDC for the device input and he would in all probability never hear of another problem with my unit. I received a very nice note of thanks in return. I then went back out to the trailer to shut down the unit and it was popping away. At this point I was tired of playing musical chairs with the Concertone product and I was preparing to post my frustration with Concertone on the forum. I have 55+ years experience in the electronics field and I am qualified to repair electronics down to the component level, so I emailed Mr. Fields offering to repair the second unit, requesting only a schematic and source for propitiatory parts. The response I received was terse at best. Mr. Fields went on to advise me since there was an identification label missing there could be an issue with the second unit. I have since emailed and called Mr. Fields [voice mail] with an apology if there was anything in my communications that he took offense to. To date I have not received a response. In conclusion, Forest River has been a "stand up" party backing up the Concertone product. Reading the postings on this forum, I think Mr. Fields is too, but unfortunately he has taken on the unenviable job of trying to "make a silk purse out of a sow's ear". This is my humble opinion.
My Concertone FIX is a Pioneer VSX521K 5.1, 3 way speaker switch and a DVD play deck. When hooked up at a RV park it is AC powered. Boondocking I have a 12VDC to 120VAC converter powering the Satellite and associated electronics. I dropped the Concertone off at the recycling facility yesterday.

Genesis GT-3
We recently purchased a new Rockwood Fifth wheel, it has the Genesis GT-3 system. We had a DVD playing in it and it was working ok, now the sound works and the video doesn't. It will flash on the screen for just a half a second, then its gone. I can't even get the system settings to come up on the screen. Any ideas?

you need to post the year of the trailer. pics are very helpful or you can go to Concertone's website to identify which model you have.

I have bought a 2006 flagstaff 26rls travel trailer and it has the concertone 500 unit as well as concertone tv. My question is how to turn off the bedroom speakers when watching tv in living area?

Mine has switches labled A,B and C. They control the living room, bedroom and outside speakers. Looks like yours is similar. Here is the manual for the model 500: http://www.concertone.com/manuals/ZX500%20Manual.pdf

Genesis GT2.0
Ok,
I need some help in figuring out this stereo/DVD/cd player. Radio works, Bluetooth works, iPod works via the unit. I can not for the life of me get it to read any disk though. Put in a cd, it spits it right back out. Put in a DVD, it spits it right back out.
I have pulled the unit, all wiring looks good. I have checked and double checked connections to the tv, they look good.
Just a bit frustrated, not mad. We do not watch much tv,or movies for that matter. It is simply a matter of the whole unit being brand new that is frustrating. My dealer is fantastic, I plan on calling them soon, but thought that perhaps I am doing something wrong........
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
