concertone zx-75

I was wondering the way to take the face plate off so I can remove the unit. Is it a pry type or do you push some sort of lock to pop it off.

I am not 100% sure, but my guess is to pry off. I say this, because I watched the dealer replace my zx700 this last week and they simply used a small screwdriver on the underside edge and the bezel popped right off. This exposed the 4 screws that held it in. I would almost guess they are all the same.

There are two small holes on the side against the wall where mounted. There are tabs in there you can unlock with a small screwdriver or paperclip and then slide the small side piece straight off. If you pry, the tabs will break and not stay on next time

Edit: screws are under the side pieces

I'm on my second defective unit & I've had it. I had it out once as recommended by Concertone to remove "torque" on the unit. I'm thinking of removing it once & for all with a shotgun. If you don't have a shotgun then remove it as stated above. Let us know what you replace it with as there are many of us looking to add something reliable.

Replacing Concertone

Since the tread deal with Concertone...has anyone replaced one with something else? I purchased my Rockwood in 2006, before FR did anything about HD signals for TV. Needless to say my antenna and equipment are analog, so I was wondering if anyone upgraded to digital and how you all took the tv signal part out away from the Concertone controller (analog Concertones control the tv signal).
