Concertone ZX 800 and Ipod

Hello I just got my Sabre 32BHOK and it has the Concertone ZX 800 in it. I cannot seem to find the manual for it so that makes it difficult to figure out. Does anyone know where i can get one online?

Also is it possible to use my ipod with this or do I have to buy the Ipod plate. I have tried the USB port and it doesnt seem to work

Any help would be appreciated

Does yours have the AUX jack in the front? I have the ZX690 and when I plug my Ipod into the USB it does not work but if you use the aux jack it does....give it a shot. There is also an app dor sirius radio that youy can download for free....gets better reception than my built in xfm I have in the rig.....and its FREE!

Hiya,

I've been very pleased with the 800 (also known as the Genesis) so far. For iPod use, I just plug it into the Aux jack on the front of the system. This works well for my iPhone and iPad. I'm told that the USB port will charge your devices, but I haven't tried that.

That's all I've figured out so far. The manual (pamphlet) doesn't go too far into this stuff but it's pretty self explanatory.

Enjoy!

Yup, concur. You need a cord with two earphone jacks. Works perfect!

Thanks guys. ya I have that cord and it works. I was hoping there was a way to use the apple cord. Odd that they wouldn't integrate it a bit better with popular devices Like iPod.

If I can figure out how to do it, attached should be the manual for the 700, also known as the Genesis 3.0 as someone else mentioned.

I just received my 800 to replace my 700 and haven't had a chance to get it installed yet, so I cannot help you with any of the inputs and what would be the best way to get your IPOD hooked up, although the AUX input sounds like the best way.

I believe the Genesis 3.0 is referred to as the ZX800, not the 700.

Thanks for the manual that will help a lot. It looks like the genesis had an hdmi hook up on it but they did not use it to hook up the tv

Hi Killman, did you buy the 800 or was it a warranty issue. Just wondering the costs.

Another thing I'd love to know is will the unit decode DTS?

Coops, mine was under warranty. I had the 700 and I was fully expecting an even swap. I was pleasantly surprised when they opened the box and handed me the 800. Even the service guy was a little surprised. So, to answer your question...it didn't cost me anything.

I also have a ZX700 that had warranty issue. The dealer ordered a new radio from FR and I too have received a ZX800 (I was told this over the phone today). The dealer will install this Friday. I understand this radio has HDMI out for the TV so I may pick up a cable and take with me to get it swapped to the HDMI while they have it out. Has everyone been getting good results from this new model?

New radio is actually the Genesis version of ZX800. It seems to work well. Video jumping is gone. Sound is actually a bit better. Will play with the features it offers the next time we stay in the camper.

We've been out six times tis year and we have the genesis 3.0 (zx800). We haven't had any issues at all; we love it! Installed the antenna booster on our winegard antenna and we had very little tiling.
