Concertone ZX75

Well I picked up my 2501ss this week and got to loading it up with our gear from the old tent trailer, man I have way more storage than I need, guess I get to buy more stuff. Anyways tried the zx75 out and the dvd won't play, won't even spin the usb port will play my mp4's but wont play sound just video. I thought when i saw it was the zx75 i might get lucky and there would be no issues. I was wrong. IN the slight chance that it is me and not the dvd player. has anybody had similar issues and resolved them?

I have seen many, many posts on Concertone. Trying not to sound too dumb, but is this a brand of audio equipment that is installed in trailers? I think that the brand in my motor home is Executive- not sure though since I haven't looked at it during the winter.

Many problems. Get it replaced with another unit under warranty. Sometimes, you can sweet talk Forest River into an "allowance" of a few hundred bucks for a better unit of your choice.

You are not alone with the DVD problem. I just picked up a new 2701SS last fall. Never used it yet and the DVD player will not turn either. Will be calling the company today for information!!! Let me know how you made out as well.

I have taken it in to get replaced so I will update everyone. The parts guy said that sometimes they forget to take a screw out before it is installed, this keeps the dvd player secured for transport.

Well, the folks at Forest River are replacing the unit. They are sending me a new one and once I get it, I will send them back the broken one. I got my RV in Albany NY from RV Direct. Great company. Saved 10K!!!

Good luck with that!!
I removed my "old one" and sent it back to them
2 times. Both times I had to pay freight from my end.
The one I have now works but there is a hiss all the time.
When I play a music CD it hisses.
When I play a DVD movie it hisses.
When I listen to FM radio it hisses.......

If it quits completely one day I'll gladly replace with either
a CD/DVD car stereo unit by Kenwood or one that's made
for RVs by Jensen.

Thanks for the input KYDAN. I was told by the dealer, RVDIRECT that the postage will be paid by them and not Forest River. I hope the new one works to my pleasing as they WILL get it back if it doesn't work properly. When I get tired of this running around if it happens, I will also get a Jensen. Thanks!!

Mine worked fine. Tried it during the winter and nothing. Wouldn't power up. Disconnected the battery for a few minutes and reconnected and so far so good. It's a shame if it dies as it is a handing unit (when it works). Is there any other uunit out there that has the same features and works!

As ridiculous as it may sound, I read in a previous post that a Concertone tech told a dealer that their units do not like to be stored in sub-zero temperature...

It'll probably last as long as the warranty

Well thats it I am moving the family down south, 4 months of the year here we have sub zero temperatures.

On antother note they just replaced my unit with one that works, so i guess there form of trouble shooting is to just replace.

After feeling pretty good about my Concercrap working while everyone else's quit, my unit quit on me. The USB never worked and finally the DVD quit.

The Jensen is due for deliverytoday. Received the 26" Samsung TV yesterday. Then off to the dumpster the Concertone/ditch filler goes!!

The dumpster is a proper place for Concertone.
With soo many of us having trouble, you'd think they do something about it.

Has any one talked FR into the above mentioned "allowance"?

We picked up our Mini Lite 1809S from RV-Direct in Elkhart, IN & the AM/FM radio hasn't worked from the start. Being we are on an extended trip before returning to KS & talking with FR warranty dept. we decided to wait until we get home then I will remove the unit & send it in for them to check it out.

I recently purchased a 2010 Wildwood T28RLSS that had a Concertone ZX75. It came with a remote.
