I can't imagine how you did it without some sort of cable which has RCA connections. I know the GT-3.0 has Bluetooth capabilities but I think that is limited to music and phone (I used to enjoy that aspect of the Genesis in my TT I had; I have Bluetooth now but no phone support). But it looks like all the inputs are on the back. There is a USB port on front but not sure it will support iPad, though manual does mention playing video from USB source.

Have you considered an Apple TV? I took my old 2nd generation unit and keep it in the RV. HDMI to TV, and when I had the Genesis I also went optical audio to that to get even better sound. Then could use iPad Remote app if desired, but Netflix and many other options could go thru the Apple TV. Works pretty well for us.

From looking at ur pic, it looks like maybe the white slider in lower right needs to be in the second from top position (perhaps B; hard to read clearly). It looks like it is maybe on slot C.

From reviewing the manual and from my fuzzy memory, you have to put the GT in DVD mode so that you can use on-screen menu to adjust the Video Setup to choose an option other than DVD (page 16 of manual references this). I recall I had to play with it a bit to get TV audio to play thru the GT, after I had pulled the unit out and run audio cable from TV to the GT.

There's all kinds of ways to use your iOS device sharing a connection to netflix. I use a rokio and a bluray player in my trailer. If your television has wi-fi of course you can skip the middleman.

Doesn't it count against your data allowance when you connect to your phone? We have phone and MIFI service thru Verizon and if I use my Ipad3 to watch Netflix or Hulu, to watch a show, it uses up my data allowance. I've tried using the campground WIFI but response was way too slow.

It does count against your data, but I have 10g, which is enough to watch it here and there. We don't watch tv much anyways. Campground wifi is hit and miss. Some have no wifi, or wont let the box connect to it. Some are also slow. I have been to some where it works just fine though.

There is an iPad cable that uses the component connection and one that uses HDMI.

Amazon.com: Buying Choices: Happyhomestation iPad2 To HDMI Cable Adapter For Apple ,new version ipad connector, new ipad,iphon4S and ipad2 iSO 5.1 compatible, Connect iPad To HDTV Screen adapter with charger and sync connector , and 5ft 24AWG/28AWG s

4ft Component AV Cable for Apple all 30-pin iPhone®, iPad®, and iPod® - Monoprice.com

This way you can get HD video from your iPad to the TV using the rear connections (using either) and surround sound if using the HDMI.

To minimize data used, Netflix lets you set your preference for definition (low, medium, high, or auto) under account settings.

Thanks for everyones suggestions. We finally got it to work this morning. Setting tv to video and the genius on av1. Couldn't connect directly to TV since it's mounted and didn't want to take it down. Thanks again

What kind of connector do you use to connect your phone to the Roku? I have an IPhone 5 and would like to play Netflix thru my tv in the camper.

I can't comment on Roku, but if you are an Apple user I would suggest the Apple TV instead. Hooks up to TV via HDMI cable (also has optical digital audio out if your stereo supports it, though audio from TV will play to stereo if you have it hooked up that way), and many TVs have side in puts to make the connection easy. You can use your iPhone as a more advanced remote (though it comes with one anyhow). In addition to Netflix, you can do Airplay mirroring (so anything on phone can show up on the TV if desired), watch or listen to your iTunes purchases, You Tube, and much more. Plus you can take it home to use there, if you are not full timing. Can connect to wifi wirelessly or via Ethernet.

PM if u want to know much more about it. I get kinda pumped up in a nerdy way talking about the device, cuz it doesn't get enough love!

Sorry if already solved. Didn't read all comments. My tablet and DW's smartphone will do it with micro HDMI to HDMI cable. From tablet to back of TV HDMI jack. You'll need strong WiFi to stream.

I don't use a connector. I share the internet connection on the iPhone and then connect to that wifi on the roku. A roku works just fine and can do HDMI also. Roku also has apps you can install to do many other things. He'll even a few simple games.

As a far as listening to anything on the iPhone/IPad you can just use the rv built in stereo system with a jack or Bluetooth if it's a newer one. No reason to buy even more stuff if you already have what you need/want.
