Digital Thermostat Hooking Up Problems

So i have a 1997 forest river sand piper 28 foot toy hauler. The thermostat is bad i believe, i cannot get the furnace to turn on but the ac and fan work. i switched the ac wire with the furnace wire and it works.I'm pretty sure the thermostat is bad. Now i have 6 wires and been working on this for 2 days now and watch about 30 Utube videos and trying to install a digital theromstat , i have jumpered the thermostat and tried everything and nothing is working, PLEASE HELP , i really don't want to buy a stock non digital one.

Just did a retro fit of the same type. Using a residential type Honeywell stat.
The blue and the red wire will not be used.
The Brown wire to G
white wire to W
yellow wire to Y
green wire to RH
Leave the jumper in
Hope this helps.

RE

what model and name brand thermostat did you buy, also i watched the video where someone hooked up a 3 way switch to run the hi and low fan, if you have the same type of trailer is the red hot or black, it seems like the furnace only works with the black wire and not the red wire which i thought would be hot

It was a honeywell #
Honeywell RTH111B1016/E1 Digital Non-Programmable Thermostat
The red wire is power But this stat does not require it, it uses 2 AAA batterys for its power.
The blue wire and the salmon wire are for the fan. I checked them and found no noticeable difference in the fan speed, so used the salmon wire, The salmon is low speed blue is high speed. You can add a switch for the high/blue wire if desired.
Here is a link to a good artical about this install.

Last year I installed a Supco 43054 in our trailer, which is nearly identical to the discontinued Hunter 42999B I installed on our previous trailer.

My write up is at Mods - Digital thermostat

What is the brand of the old thermostat?

The wiring is different between Dometic and Coleman.

Here's the wiring config on my 2007 Wildcat, if it helps.
The switch all the way to the right I added and is the high speed blower switch for the A.C..

Here's how I hooked up my Honeywell, and it works PERFECT.

I did not incorporate a fan switch, but hard-wired it to the HI position.

Don't forget that ground!
