DISH Tailgater and Receiver Activation

Have read a number of threads but still have questions. Just received the King Tailgater and 211z Receiver. We have DISH at home.

After looking at number of websites, there are multiple phone numbers listed to activate the receiver. What phone number to you folks use to activate and suspend service? Does this service have a specific name? (What should I ask for?)

I believe my cost will be $7/month cause I have DISH at home?

Would like to have the ability to turn the system on and then off when we are not using it. I also believe, such would be on a calendar month basis? Correct? (So will wait till May 1 before I call?).

I believe you will be charged the $7.00 regardless if you turn it off or on. The charge is for the extra receiver. I could be wrong. Why bother for that amount of money, this way you have it even for short weekend trips if you do them.

Leave mine on all summer needed or not $42.00

As soon as my contract is up I'll be taking the hd hopper receiver out of my shop and just put the 221z in there and the camper.
Then going to add the one time $40.00 storage device add on.

Here in California I call 800-333-3474 for RV Service on/off. It is $7.00 a month when on and $0.00 when off. Some times (once) the techs don't know that and I have to tell them. But it always get straightened out.

Hi my activation number that I call is 1-800-333-3474 It is $7.00 a month when on and $0.00 when off. I have this number on the bottom of the receiver in felt marker that way I will not lose It.

It is definitely only 7 dollars while on assuming you own your receiver. If you leased the receiver from dish you need to pay the 7 regardless or they will want it back.

I assume if you have the 211 it was purchased and you should have no charge when you have it deactivated.

By the way, you can do this through the web chat if you want to skip worrying about the number.

Happy to report that the new King Tailgater - VQ4500 works just fine. No dropouts after a couple of hours of viewing.
