Does Jensen in-dash GPS/Radio/DVD only work with engine ignition?
I have a 2014 Lexington 265 Class C. It has an in-dash Jenson multimedia receiver featuring the GPS/Radio/DVD unit. Does this unit only work off the engine key? So far I have only used the GPS and radio while driving, but tried watching a DVD movie the other day on the over-cab entertainment centre TV. I was plugged into shore power, assuming the DVD would work off the house batteries/shore power. The movie was displayed both on the GPS screen and overhead TV screen as it should be. But I discovered that the engine key must be in the ON position for the in-dash receiver to work, and once the key is turned OFF, so does the receiver. I thought that maybe there is switch that would convert the power source to the house batteries, but so far have not found a way to do this. Am I missing something?
Obviously I don't want to watch movies off the vehicle battery.
