Dometic 2-Way Refrigerator Check Light

I have a new TT with a Dometric 2-way refrigerator, model DM2652. On our second trip the check light came on twice. I followed the instructions, turned the unit off, then on again and it was back to normal. This last 3 day trip, the check light came on in the middle of the night for 2 nights in a row. I am not using the "auto" setting as I don't trust the frig's logic. When we leave home I set it to "gas". I called the dealer and the service guy said the check light comes on when the unit tries to restart and it fails. He attributed this to either the pilot light going out due to wind, high altitude (we were at 7,000 feet this last trip), or a clogged pipe. I'm looking for advise and direction here. Is it normal for the check light to come on 2-3 times during a 3 day trip?

It's not normal for that to happen, but the altitude is probably contributing to it having a hard time lighting.

Do you have electric available where you are? If so, I suggest letting the fridge run in Auto.

Since it's a band new unit, you probably want to have the dealer look at it.
