Got the A/C Going on Honda EU2000 pair

I got it going. I think the problem was the battery had not been disabled. Once I did that and ran my test I was able to run one of the A/C's off the generator pair.

Thank you all for your help.

Altitude is a factor

Most yamahas and Hondas 2000's are jetted for sea level to 4000 ft. If you live or plan on camping at altitudes higher than 4000 ft. you most likely will need to rejet to 2 sizes smaller. My new 2 yamaha's 2000Watt will kick off at about 5000 feet or higher as the air is thinner and they run too rich.

Curious why battery had to be disable. Are you talking about the one on trailer? Later RJD

Can't believe 2 Hondas in parallel can't run it with the battery connected.

My Yamaha 2400 has no problem running the AC as long as it's the only thing big running.

I also installed a hard start capacitor on the AC (Supco SPP6) which helped a bunch. About $10-15 on Amazon and about 15 minutes to install.

Supco SPP6

What does the Supco SPP6 do?

Definitely not a scientific answer, but basically it gives you an extra jolt of starting torque when your compressor kicks on. The biggest draw on your genny is when the compressor first kicks on. The extra capacitor will get you over the hump of that initial spike.
