Dometic AC Blowing Hot Air

As we were getting ready to leave this Friday for a over due and well deserve camping trip, the ac decided to stop working. The fan is working but there is no cool air. I've checked the capacitor with my muiltmeter and it appears to be good. I checked all wiring for loose connections and found everything tight. The unit is a Dometic model 57915-711CO on my 2014 Vengeance 25V Toyhauler. It's under warranty but it takes time to tow back to the dealship which I'm doing tomorrow morning. I ready don't think it will be fixed and ready to roll by Friday. Has anyone had this issue and had it resolved? Thanks for any reply.

Have you tried shutting the a/c off for 15 minutes "leave fan on" then try it back on again?

Occasionally the frost sensor falls off and the unit will freeze up.

And or the air flow is restricted by shutting off vents to better cool another area then it will freeze up as well.

I will give it a try when I get home. Iturned the unit off when I was checking the capacitor but did not leave the fan running. I'll leave you know what happens. Thank you for the reply.

I've had this happen so if it works when you get home its most likely the case.

The biggest problem is air flow.
All vents must be open!

The frost sensor may be bad or has fallen away from the condenser.

Try not to turn temp down down more then 10-15 degrees of outside temp.

I have all the vents open when running the ac. Is the frost sensor located inside the camper under the filter? I removed the filter while tracing the wires for any loose connections. The frost sensor could save the trip. Thank you!

Yes it's up above the filter.

If you don't see it then it's possible it fell off.

If you do go home and it works you may want to open the quick cool dump vent on the a/c Slightly if the frost sensor is in place.

I really don't see how the frost sensor could freeze up. When the system stopped working, the fan was on and the temp inside the camper was 101 degrees. I will try when I get home. May be the issue.

The unit will frost up but still blow air.
It may not be the full blast of air but you will feel it.
BamaBob just had this happen to him at the rally.

No luck on the frost sensor. It looks like I will be towing to the dealership.

Indeed I did and TRUBS is right - it was the frost sensor falling off. Could have fixed it myself, but the techs came the next day and replaced the sensor for us.

I took the camper to the dealership this morning. The compressor is bad and the ac will be replaced. They ordered a new one this morning and should be here tomorrow. There is a possiblity that it will be ready tomorrow afternoon but not later than Thursday. The camping trip is still on for Friday. OOH RAHHH! Thank you for all the replies. Thank you to Brown's RV in Mc Bee, SC for handling this issue!
