Dometic Air, Condensate drainage

My 2014 Crusader has a unique way to drain the A/C condensate. All my other RV's had a constant slow drip off the roof. This Dometic unit seems to hold up to a pint or so then dump in a stream. It will do this for hours on end about every 10 min. or so in the Florida heat. If you shut the unit off it will drain all at once. I am not sure if this is a by design evolution or somebody didn't remove some packing during install. Maybe someone else has seen this and can comment.
