Dometic Brisk Air 459196 on 20A house line?

Will this run when we are plugged into a 20A 120V house line? It is set on a 20A fuse in the RV (FR 2401R MBS) so it seems that it should work.

What concerns me is the compressor-locked rotor amps: 66. How could it handle that even on a 30A line? Must not be counted in the overall load?

Thanks! It's getting HOT here!

It should be OK, but you're probably right at the edge.

You will not be able to run anything else.

Make sure you have a good quality power cord (#12 wire). Check the connectors and plugs for heat. If they are getting warm, check the plugs for corrosion, loose etc.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

Thanks - the cord is fine and the socket is 20A fused, but the 30-15A converter plug for stepping down to the household socket is only 15A. So I probably won't do it.

We were at a campsite last week with only 20a connection. Same connection to the power post via a 30-15a plug, our 2008 Lexington AC, 20a, ran fine when nothing else was on. The minute we turned on anything else the AC breaker tripped.

Your new AC will probably run with the 30-15a adapter plugged into a 20a shore power plug.

Thanks. The power converter is always on. We have the refrig on electric today to cool down. We'll see how it goes.

You might get it to start the first time and run, but it is unlikely it will restart unless there is a significant time before the restart. Locked rotor will trip breaker as it is supposed to so I would ignore that spec.

I'm not understanding why that wouldn't trip the RV 20A breaker. Is it just a momentary rush?
