Hi all,

I have a quick question how long does it take for the fridge to get cold?

I have had it running for about an hour now and only the freezer is getting cold.

I have done the following:

1. Both fuses in the black box are ok.
2. Power to the fridge the controls light up and so does the internal light
3. No fuses blown in the main box (I don't see one mark for the fridge)
4. My level is off some (not sure how much effect this would have)
5. The white lever inside the fridge is pushed all the way to the top

I can't find the in-line fuse.

It takes quite a while. Chances are tomorrow morning it will be nice and cold.
Try to get it as level as possible, if it is too out of level it can damage the system.

Backin15 is absolutely correct, allow at least 24, even 36 hours for the fridge to cool.

Al, we always add several 1/2 gallon water jugs that we had in our home freezer the nite before we head out. They serve two purposes, fresh drinking water and they chill the RV frig quickly.

Were headed out this weekend. I turned my refer (gas side) on 8:00 pm on Thursday and the temp inside the box was 86 degrees. Woke up Friday morning and checked the refer around 7:00am and the temp inside the box was 40 degrees. So it took mine about 12 hours to cool down to 40...

On our 1st trip out with thr new 21SS I had the fridge running on electric for approx. 3 hrs. and the temp inside the fridge had only cooled from about 80º down to 70º +- (thermometer reading). I decided to turn it over to propane and in about 3-1/2 - 4 hrs. later it had cooled down to 40º. So, my question is it safe to say the fridge (DM2652) operates more effeciently/quickly in propane mode? After it reached 40º I switched it back over to electric and it maintained 32º - 37º the rest of our 4 day trip w/o issues. This is our 1st trailer and so we have no experience w/evap. refrigerators.

I had a similar experience with mine. Plugged it up after being at dealer for work and only freezer was working. So called my brother in law who is an AC man. He told me not to worry that is how those units work. Freezer gets cold first then it will cool the refer. He said it would take about 24 hours. So don't worry just give it time.

If we are camping during weekends, I get our TT from storage Wednesday evening, parking in the driveway. Then I turn the fridge on and by Thursday nite, we are shopping for groceries to put in so Friday can be a hitch & go day after work. Be careful the sliding cold control doesn't get pushed up by product inside or a helpful person not looking which direction is warmer after the milk is semi frozen. I also purchased one of those small battery fridge fans that help circulate air around a loaded box when we have company showing up at the camping site, or a long holiday weekend(we always bring too much to eat).
