Dometic Duo Therm AC

2008 Heartland 3212SB 5er with a single Dometic Duo therm air conditioner. When I turn on the AC at the thermostat, I hear the AC relay click once, but nothing turns on. Even if left on (after the click), nothing happens. I am assuming a bad capacitor? It was working perfectly well two days ago while running the Onan 5500. Even on shore power, same thing.

I have not climbed up there and looked at the unit yet, as it is 105 degrees outside!! With that said, I have no idea what I would be looking for anyways. Thanks for any suggestions!!!

EDIT: I just tried turning the heater on and nothing happens. No noises, nothing at all. What the heck!

Nick

If it's not humming when you turn it on, it's most likely not the capacitor.

It sounds like you're not getting 120 volt power to the unit. Have you checked the breaker for the A/C to be sure it hasn't tripped?

So, neither the fan nor the compressor come on when you turn the thermostat on?

Which thermostat do you have?

Brain fart! It was the breaker. I think I was suffering from heat stroke and didn't think of the easy fixes

Even though it seems simple now, it's easy to miss the forest for the trees. The little things stump us the most.

Thanks much for letting us know what it was. Glad it was an easy and quick fix. Now go cool down some!
