Dometic Fridge AC/DC/LP

Ok

So my fridge works fine using LP when my battery is hooked up...It fired up on LP with Battery Disconnected and connected to AC power. However, If I pull REFER 12V fuse with AC on fridge shuts down. Likewise, If I turn off inverter breaker on AC side of panel fridge shuts off. Is this normal?

Thanks

Matt

Since you didn't give year or model, I would say yes.
Basically, your fridge needs 12v to work.
Whether it comes from your battery or the inverter

Its a Dometic fridge thats a 2014 model...3 way...sounds about right then...so its really a 2 way fridge...12v and LP but 12v will run off the AC current

Thanks for the quick reply

Your profile shows you have a Roo.
If so, you DON'T have a 3-way fridge, it's a 2-way fridge.
3-way fridges are generally only found on folding trailers, truck campers or very small TTs.

So your fridge only works on shore power AC or propane with 12v battery power for the electronics.
