Dometic fridge drain
Noticed in the panel behind the fridge there is a hose ( I assume drain) with an obvious factory plug fitted . Should be in or out?
Also, I noticed a posting awhile ago showing a small fan setup inside the fridge.
figure important for air circulation. Can someone advise where I can find that posting.

The drain should come out the fridge grill. If you get frost,or condensation on the fins in your fridge the the water drains out that hose when it defrosts.

I looked for the drain and all I have is a 3/8" white hose that drops down into an aluminum pan situated directly under the boiler.So,whats with that?

You probably have a Norcold, that's the way mine is also except mine is a little plastic tray.

It should be perforated with small holes, had two like that. Some used small fan esp when box is full, helps move cooler air.

You can also simply drill a hole in the floor and drain it out the bottom. FR engineers and qualified builders do that on the pop-ups that they build.

Maybe not so good, the condensate can find It's way through the coating in the. bottom of the refer space, causing delay of the wall and bubbling in outside fiberglass.

I like the way Norcold does it, just drain it into a small tray above the burner. Don't have to drill holes in the floor or thread it thru the vents on the access door.

4Sailrguy, if you're asking about the little plug, it should be in the end of the hose. It's there to prevent bugs from getting in the hose.
The hose should be routed through the grill far enough that when it drips it won't run down the wall.
The hose is very thin and can get brittle over time. If you have to replace it, use something more robust.

The hose should also be routed such that it forms a P trap and then routed thru a top vent hole in the access door. The P trap is to prevent outside air from entering the refrigerator compartment.

OC, my previous camper, a Roo, had a Dometic fridge and the hose was no where near long enough to form a P trap and still be able to put it out through the access door. Of course, when I bought it used the hose was already brittle so the previous owner may have broken off some of it.
Do the drain hoses in Nocorlds have a P trap? I didn't notice one in my current TT.

No, but it is only a 1/4" hose with a plug in the end and a shielded 3/32"dia hole in it. Not much air can get thru it.
