I am probably way off base but I am going to repeat something I was told about LP/AC RV refrigerators. I have no idea if this is true.

"LP is more forgiving about being off level. If off level with AC, heater element will burn up."

I have no idea how far off level you have to be to cause damage.

If I bypass the pwc and plug in 120 volt source directly to 120 v heater, the fridge cools just fine.

All lights on the front of fridge work fine too and 12v appears at both sides of F1 3 amp fuse.

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the PWC 50-965201-E?

I can troubleshoot if I know what is supposed to happen on the PWC.

Could a faulty thermister cause the fridge to operate in limp mode and not change power source ie. stay at propane mode?

A bad thermistor would cause the fridge to use the energy source prior to the failure.

I've never seen a detailed schematic of the control board.

That's a 10k Ω thermistor, so if you place the thermistor in an ice bath and check resistance between the leads it should read between 8k and 10k ohms.

I think I am in limp mode. The propane heater is always on....full flame.

Checked the thermistor and it was laying on shelf. Checked it in ice water...read 8700 ohms. Room temp..around 3000 ohms. Seems to be normal readings so I put it back in proper holder on last fin.

Fridge still seems to be in limp mode. How can it be reset? Or could the thermistor still be faulty?

Since the thermistor read 8700 Ω it tested good.
I'd remove all power from the unit both 12 and 120 volts and then repower the unit. That should reset it and it should start working normally.

Pulled fridge 12v fuse at distribution panel and disconnected 120 v. Left it all night.

Powered everything up in morning......still not working on 120V.

Thinking of buying a pup tent and forgetting this rv frustration.

I had the same issue on our first trip and the outlet was bad. Once we replaced the outlet we were good to go
