Dometic fridge problems

I've had my fridge running for 3 weeks and the ground fault breaker I had it plugged into tripped and it did not transfer over to gas automatically, I had it set in auto.

Any ideas on what caused it not to change over.

Are your batteries fully charged? Gas turned on?

If you didn't try it on gas before you turned it to auto, there may be air in the line. I always start mine on gas then switch to auto.

Was your battery cut off switch on?
The refrigerator wont operate on propane without 12v.

Even if the cut off switch was on... depending on how long the battery was not being charged by the converter it might have went dead from the parasitic drains.

If all that was OK... Some refrigerators will indicate if they tried to light on propane(usually three times) but was not able to. (gas valve not on, empty bottle)
Did you notice a fault indication? You didn't specify your model number so we're just throwing things out.

Everything that you mentioned so far was set right it was functioning fine until the ground fault at the outlet tripped.

Double check your batteries. Voltage over 12 volts?

Yes battery is good

Will the unit run on Propane when the control is set to gas? If it does then I would think there may have been some sort of electrical spike (when GFI went) that did something to the control board which has stopped it from shifting from one mode to the other.
