Dometic fridge rm 1350

Have a few problemswith the rm 1350. 1st when i switch over from electric to gas in the auto mode it wont switch over and ends up warming up. 2nd, while out dru camping after about the second to 3rd day on gas it starts warming up to 40sh and wont cool back down, after it sits for a few hours after being shut off it will start back up and cool down for a few day again, I have talked to other 378 owners and some have had issues and some dont, any clues where to start looking for the problem? trying to find out if still under warranty.coach is a 2008 378 ts thanks

I don't recall the number of our fridge but if yours is the 4-door fridge, check the flap on the lower left door that is supposed to self close behind both doors and seal the gap between them. We found right away that it doesn't always close all the way so the air can escape. Ours did exactly what you describe. From day one we have always had to close the left door first then reach around an close the flap all the way and then close the right door.

Motorhomes are only covered by warranty for 1 year. I don't know if Dometic has a longer warranty but I would doubt it.
