the fans are great when the heat is on but you may have other issues thermiistor could be bad or just giving false readings . also it could be a bad cooling unit even though you had no leaks it could be bad from factory and was not charged correctly . happens when all else fails then you need to look outside the box . my firdge keeps everthing very cold weather it's 95 or 35 out

I am beginning to think that the dealer let the cooling unit get too hot while diagnosing the problem, if that is a possibility?

The cooling unit handles both refrigerator and freezer, correct? My freezer works, freezes a gallon of water, but refrigerator will not go below 42 degrees. 2 fans in the rear. Freezer works on both gas and electric, refrigerator neither. The only other possibility would be the Thermistor? ??

There could be a problem with the way the cooling unit was installed at the factory . the cooling tube for the RF may not be set well and they may have skipped out on the cooling /heat transfer gunk they use . so tired now i can't think what they call it . seems some people have this issue and they could have had a bad run of units that did not get assembled well . and it can't get diaged because everything seems to work fine but the fridge . did a unit last week like that . no reason to the fridge not to get cold but ??? adding more cooling fans won't help and may make it worse . if the freezer was nor freezing then maybe more fans . but this is another issue all together just not sure exactly what

Wow, more fans could make it worse! !!! Didn't expect that!!! I do know that the tube that runs up the refrigerator to the top where the cooling fins are is HOT. Accidentally touched the back of my wrist on it and burned my skin resulting in a blister, thought an extra fan would help cool it down. What a complicated system this is!
