Dometic Fridge - Won't Cool in Cool Weather

I noticed early this spring, and again this fall, that my dometic fridge won't cool during cool weather. All Summer, no issues. Anything I should look for or try? Unit is sitting within 1/2 bubble of level with a bubble level in the freezer.

Either, but most recently electric. But I did try gas in the spring.

I'm by no means an expert but since the refrigerator relies upon boiling a water/ammonia mixture I would expect the efficiency to drop somewhat when the unit is colder. I would also expect it to show up problems that can affect the heating elements such as a partially blocked flu or a weak electrical heater. Have you checked the flu and upper air vents for blockages? In general I would look for anything that results in less efficient heating of the ammonia mixture. After this I am out of my knowledge base and would refer it to someone who works with these things on a regular basis.

I can see all the way up to the fans and beyond. I just turned it on gas to see what happens. I feel the burner side getting warm

In very cold weather the liquid will not boil and operate the frig properly.

Usually at 32į and below. Block off the outside vents or find a way to heat the frig outer compartment a bit.

Thanks for the tip. It wasn't that cold, but in the 40s. I will try a few experiments

My DW complained last Feb. when we were getting set to head south that the fridge was not cooling, it was -22C outside at the time.
