Dometic refrigerator hidden fuses
I just got back from the dealer, and they checked my refr. for no 120 shore power- worked on gas, and they found that the glass (old style) fuse was bad. Outside behind the white plastic access cover/vent, after removal of vent, there is ANOTHER black plastic cover, and behind that lies these 2 glass fuses. One is for AC power, and the other for 12v. If the AC fuse is blown, you have no AC power, but gas and 12v work. If the 12v fuse is bad, NOTHING works on the fridge. Be sure to UNPLUG THE PLUG in there, or you'll get a NASTY shock, like my technician did !!! Anyway, this repair is NOT A WARRANTY ITEM !!! You can easily replace the fuses, and be back "chillin" in no time. The fuse that was bad was a .5 amp fuse. YES, 0.5 amp. Just thought i'd pass this info. on !!! Randy
