Dometic refrigerator issue

Arrived at the campground yesterday to find everything in my refrigerator was spoiled and everything in the freezer defrosted. We had been there about a week and a half earlier and all was fine. When I arrived the refrigerator was operational but must not have been for long since all was lost. If I lost power I am not sure why the gas didn't kick on take over. The refrigerator was set to auto and the gas was turned on. Anyone have any issues like this before? Sorry if I missed a post that already had this.

Let me get this right, you arrived at the campground yesterday, was your RV already there? Did you leave it there a week or so ago?

If so, a silly question, Do you have propane in your tank? If yes, when was the last time you ran on gas? Is it working now on electric and gas?

It is a permanent campsite so it is always there and we leave the refrigerator on. The tanks are full and it appears to be working fine on both electric and gas. Before I left yesterday it was on and we tried it both ways.

We had the rv to Disney about a month ago and it worked fine in gas while we traveled.

Do you know you lost power while gone? Like the clock on microwave blinking?

How did you determine gas was working? It takes a while for things to change. Did you observe the boiler flame? Just thoughts.

Here is a good troubleshooting manual to refer to: http://www.fourwheelcampers.com/newd...atormanual.pdf

I am assuming I lost power. I had power at the site but never turned the meter on. It is very confusing. It had worked fine since I discovered the issue. Not sure why the fridge stopped working. Not very impressed with this fridge. Freezer gets to about 20 degrees everyone tells me it should be 0.

Installing a fan in mine keeps the fridge not only at a consistent temp but a lower one.
Freezer is around 5-10 degrees.
