Possibly add a switch to J2 for off grid use? Right now I am more concerned about it running but not being cold. Some say the propane burns constantly, I swear I heard it cycle before but it did not for the last 4 plus hours I was there. If the burner is running, which it is, it should be cold. I was feeling the pipes and 'absorber vessel" and none of them were hot, should they be hot? I am wishing I brought it home, but hopefully all of this may be for nothing and it is cold now.
It takes 6-8 hours to get cold. Also, make sure your thermistor is fully UP (down is warmer and it likes to drop while your towing).

Here's a way to disconnect the door heater while keeping the inside light:

It was cold Saturday. Sunday morning it started getting warm and ran continuously. I did lower the thermistor in an attempt to get it to shut off. Thanks for the heater info, pretty cool it is so simple.

After two weeks the freezer was at 9 degrees and the refrigerator was at 38 degrees with the thermistor down. Trailer used almost a full bottle of propane. Refrigerator was running (burning propane) when I got there and quickly cycled off. Batteries were low, I am sure the fan is going to be an on going problem for battery life. Also I left the heater on by mistake. It may have ran a few times but I left it on Friday night and it did not. I did snip the wire to the door heater 50/50 chance and I got it right. Thanks again.

2020 Update

Just an update on my refrigerator. Not that anyone really cares but maybe this will help someone some day. The trailer has been in the woods for a month and I use it every other week. The 100w solar panel keeps the two 6v trojans stable at 12.5v. I run a honda 2000 for an hour morning and night while there. While using the camper I can hear propane burning pretty much continuously. The fan runs probably every ten minutes for about a minute. Freezer and refrigerator are cold. Two weeks with no one using it requires three gallons of propane. While using the trailer two days we use another gallon of propane running the refrigerator. I am very happy with the results.
