Sounds like a plan. Thanks for confirming what I was thinking.
I see on Olcoot's picture that his wiring goes into the black panel in lower left of frig access. So I'll start there.

I had mine replaced at the dealer with "New Dometic Ones". While the original problem (a Womp Womp sound) was fixed they are still loud. I have a question for the guys who have put in the PC ones ie Turbs and Oldcoot. Were you able to replace them without removing the frige? Mine has two vents on the side one top and one bottom.

Mine didn't have any fans to start with. If I had one with a factory fan, I would just unhook the elec. connection to the fan, install the twin fans down low, just to the left and above the burner with them blowing up and wire them into the original wiring. I put a toggle switch on mine.

My original is near the top access panel so I was considering screwing mine to the inside of the panel blowing outward. Whatever I do, I'll post some pics.

Just read kydan's post about the new frig not working above 5000 feet. My wife and I are going to Colorado in July. Is this true? Is there something that can be done?

I was in Colorado last year. My refrigerator works fine at 6500 feet

Glenn, there was a recent discussion about this. I -believe- it was a new
RV with a Norcold fridge but I'm not positive. The discussion was just
in the last couple weeks. Something about "fridge goes whoosh but does not light".

Here's a link to that discussion-- Refrigerator whooshes but will not light!

We just went through that with our new (2013) 36CKTS Cedar Creek fiver. Is it that the fan(s) are really squeaky or just that they are making what seems to be above normal (air) noise? If it's just the excessive air noise we had ours taken care of by a warranty facility. I am not sure what he did but the thing is quiet as a mouse now and just camping in 90 plus weather this last weekend the reefer did fine cooling-wise. Let me know and I'll try to find out what they did. It was covered under warranty so I know Dometic is aware of the issue. (They probably unplugged the external rear fans for all I know). Let me know...

I would be interested. My fans were replaced under warranty and while they are better they are still noisy. I received some Arctic F9 PC fans that I ordered today. Getting over the Flu and probably will try to figure out how to mount them next week.

Mine was a constant, never stop, high pitch squeal like a tiny jet engine.
