Dometic refrigerator not running on gas w/dead battery.

Looking for help. I have no power to my trailer plug that charges the trailer battery. I can fix that. My Dometic refrigerator (model dm2652lbx) was cycling like a Christmas tree as the check light would not stay on. The trailer battery was dead. The refrigerator works fine, after plugging it in, the convertor is fine. SO, why would the refrigerator cycle like that, when the battery is dead? Should it not keep running?

No it needs 12 volts to work once it gets below 9 or 10 volts it will not work and light up like a Christmas tree.

Thank YOU to all the replies. I am on the road now so I will have to monitor the refrigerator and shut it down mid trip home.

Sounds like it may be time to replace the battery. Another thing you may want to check is the 12 volt line on your 7 pin plug. You are right that should be keeping the trailer battery charged when your TV is running.
