Dometic refrigerator not working with propane

This past weekend we took our trailer out for the first time with no hook ups. Our XLR Nitro trailer came equipped with the Dometic 2652LBX refrigerator and has worked with no issues when it is plugged in or with the generator. The "check" light kept coming on while using propane and would not stay lite. After turning the fridge on we could hear the unit trying to light, it would stay lite for a few minutes then shut off. We called for a service appointment but there is nothing available until September. Any ideas or suggestions on what the issue could be? This is a new trailer is there a shut off valve or switch?

Thank you.

See if you can light the burners on your stovetop. Someone may have turned off your propane at the tank(s).

Let us know what you find.

We tried that. Furnace, water heater and stove worked all weekend with no issues. Fridge won't stay lite.

Has it ever ran on propane before?
If not it may take a while for all the air to purge from the lines.

If it's lighting it's probably not a valve turned off, but there is one behind the outside grill.

If there was air in the lines it would not run for a few mins before shutting off, it would shut off within seconds.
What it sounds like is a very dirty or defective thermocouple.

If it's trying to light by the sound you hear and you get the check lite, then it is lack of gas. Sometimes after storage, the very small gas orfice is stopped up by insect residue and has to be cleaned by compressed air or manually.

Also check the flue.

Press the stack overtemp breaker located in the flue to make sure it is "set" (red wires).

Bugs build nests in the flue. The electric heater lives in that flue as well, but is unaffected by bug nests.

A plugged flue can result in an over rich mixture and thus a "no light" condition. Can you smell gas when it is trying to light?

I attached a troubleshooting guide ...

A word of caution; never stick anything into the orifice when cleaning it. Enlarging that orifice even a micron will result in unreliable operation. Us a can of compressed air only to clean it.

Another thing to check is the solenoid valve itself. There is no feedback circuit to tell the fridge that the valve opened.

The solenoid could be corroded inside. Try tapping on it with a screwdriver handle while the igniter is snapping.

This is a brand new trailer. Hopefully the issue is just air in the lines. We will check this weekend on the other suggestions.
Thank you

We are having the same problem with our dometic rm1350 in our brand new 2018 Hathaway only it will be fine for 4 or 5 hours then will shut off and not relight. And it will make this loud “rump” while trying to relight. Any guesses on what we can do? We are 6 hours from the dealer. Will forest river warranty cover a repair with a authorized domestic dealer? HELP we will be traveling very soon and need to get this taken care of soon.

Check the flue for a blockage. Bugs may have built a nest in the flue causing an over rich mixture in the burner area.
