If you have a Dometic, see paragraph 5.14, Thermofuse, on pg 18 of the attached.

There are also a number of regular fuses.

Our Refridgerator in our 180 RPod would not come on. The lights showing it was working on battery but the buzzer beeped when we put it on electric. The GFI was tripped so no power was going to the chord. Reset the GFI and the refrigerator came on. This was not in the trouble shooting section of my users manual. It probably should be. That saved me a trip to the rv repair place just by accidentally checking the GFI. Probably should state in the manual to check that first. I did not think the refridgerator was on a GFI circuit but evidently it was.

Fridge on propane only

Dometic fridge only works on propane. New pwc..still not working. All power checked...ok. As soon as control panel is turned on the fridge goes to propane. Could it be a faulty control panel?

New trailer? Make sure the 110VAC part is actually plugged in. Factory has been known to forget to plug it in. Make sure your GFCI isn't tripped.

Maybe not, but I just read another thread where someone said theirs was.

Problem solved

I took the Eyebrow panel off the front of the fridge and blew into the push buttons. It didn't seem like things were dusty but I tried it anyway...and guess what...the fridge then worked on AC. Does not make a lot of sense but who am I to argue with success.

I have a similar problem can you help me? I bypassed the board and the unit works just fine however I bought a new board from a dealership and it did not work. Perplexed...? Both fuses check good for continuity. J5 and j6 both have 120 coming out of the wire. J7 and j 8 spades read about .620 to .650 with power on and j5 and j6 connected. This is a dometic DM2652. Prod nun 921 1443-6. Serial number 84200281. Control board 50-965201-D. Unit will run on gas. But when in electric mode it tries to default to gas. Thanks for any advice.

Did you check the element for resistance? Should be around 44 ohms. See page 10.

I purchased new eyebrow panel cct board. Has not arrived yet. Will let you know if problem solved. BTW, the on/off light did not come on...until I smucked the eyebrow panel. Once the light stayed on, the fridge worked fine on a.c…..thus the purchase of new panel.

Stay tuned.

Super. Thanks for reporting back.
My brother's last camper did the same and a new eyebrow panel fixed his too. It was full of corrosion from condensation.
