Dometic RM1350 latches
Obviously, the issues with the latches on this 4-dr fridge are well documented on this forum. We already had the latches replaced once by the dealer, and after a warm day last week, the freezer latch deformed, opened up mid trip, and sent the ice box across the isle, shattering the ice box.
Called dometic, as this is a 2014 3050 still within the first year of warranty, and was told that the latches would be approx 25$ each side to replace, and a replacement ice tray would be $75! (Even the dometic staffer choked on the price for the ice tray.)
I really do not want to have to drive the Rv over an hour back to the dealer just to have them say, "yup, latches won't hold and ice box is cracked" to get a warranty replacement request submitted to FR and/or Dometic.
Anyone have any suggestions, contacts, or prior experience which may be of assistance?
