Dometic Secondary Burner Housing Recall

Well my repair kit arrived today and it seems pretty straight forward.

Still hard to believe a 2010 Flagstaff has a fridge built prior to 2007 in it.

I will photograph the install for posterity and will post when I am finished.

Hey herk,I just completed mine myself and its not too hard. Of course I am a retired navy engineer. Actually took me about 45 minutes after about an hour reviewing the instructions.

Roger that; on the hour with the instructions. They really need to fire whoever they paid to write that thing. Confusing directions and tiny crappy pictures. Been way too cold to start it yet though. Maybe when it warms up some.

Did you have any trouble that you wish you knew about before you started? No sense re-inventing the wheel.

Not really except as follows. When you slide the first piece, the base under the burner there is a bracket screwed to the floor that will not allow the base to lay flat on the forward side. That is normal and when you put the screws in the base ,just snug , don't bend the base. Mine already had the thermal fuse in it and the numbers were the same so I left it and just replaced the 12 volt wire with the new fuse link 12 volt wire. When installing the holder for the fuse link make sure the fuse link is not touching the burner cover. Not a hard job at all.I ran it on electric and gas after I finished to insure it worked properly. Good luck
