Dometic Thermostat

Hi all. I have a Alpha Wolf 26RL-L. I read a post at another time about the Dometic thermostat & the AC roof unit clicking. I have a Dometic thermostat with the furnace running now on AUTO temp 70. I have the AC set to 76. Why is my roof AC clicking? I know I read about the 2 degree differential setting and I’ve got them 6 degrees different. Can someone explain please. Is it hurting the AC with it clicking from time to time like its doing? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I can do that. Is there a way to factory reset this thermostat. I was thinking that might help too???? Of course I just went through all my owners manuals & I don’t have 1 for the thermostat. 😕

Well.....I just looked at that entire link & it’s in another language. Do you have a link for English or I’ll also try & find it.
Either way you provided me with a start. Thank you!

As for the clicking in the ceiling unit. The furnace isn't directly controlled by those thermostats like it is by most thermostats. That thermostat controls relays in the A/C control box which runs the different functions, so there's a relay in there that controls the furnace. What you're most likely hearing is a relay pulling in when the thermostat calls for something to happen. If it happens just before the furnace runs then it's the furnace relay pulling in a little while before the furnace actually starts.

Here's the initialization procedure for that thermostat,
Quote:
System Initialization
A system initialization will need to be performed by installer after system installation.
1. Make sure CT thermostat is Off. See “D. Quick Reference” on page (3).
2. Press the button, and simultaneously press and hold the / Mode button for three seconds.
LCD will show “- -”.
This completes system initialization.
Furnace On / Off temperature differential should be set at this time. See “C. “Furnace” - Furnace
Mode” on page (7) for more information
Here's also a link to the manual.

Thank you all SO much for all the info & will work with it. It’s only 27 degrees here now so the furnace has been running for a while now. Once it warms up some I’ll be able to see where my issue stands.
THANK YOU!!!!
