Wow, we have a new trailer and the Dometic Model 300 toilet, also, was shooting water over the lip.

Yep, They tell you to use plyers to bend the tabs down on either side of the jet. Well, they tried that at the shop, and I've done it. Mine still shoots water all over the place. I've learned to manipulate the pedal, but it still hasn't solved the problem. It's just a terrible design!!! For my last attempt, I'm going to add a larger piece of plastic above the jet. I'm thinking I will use some epoxy to hold it in place.

I'm thinking my problem was the weight of our big slide out making the trailer lean just enough that way to make the water flow up and over the lip of the toilet. (It doesn't overflow with the slide in) have you tested yours?

Certainly could be the problem in yours. However, mine sprays out so fast it doesn't matter what angle the trailer's at, it will still spray out of the bowl.
