Dometic - UGH !!!! -warranty/troubleshooting issues.

I bought a brand new fifth wheel last December. Just took it out for the second time last weekend. The refrigerator would not work. I went thru the troubleshooting guide, did everything in it. Which wasn't much I could do.. check the gas, check the electric to it, other than that, shut it down and get it serviced... cost me $180 to find out it has a reset switch and after that, it worked. Since there wasn't anything wrong with the fridge, no warranty coverage.. But, since I did everything the manual said, I feel I should be reimbursed. They feel otherwise. No parts under warranty were not replaced.

On the bright side...you will be repaid in gratitude when someone else on this forum has the same problem & you can advise on the fix!

I hope they showed you where the reset button was!

I'd actually like to know the model of fridge.
If it actually has a reset the manual should show it.

Did you take it to the dealer you bought it from? If so, I would not have paid them a
2 hours ($90 @ hour) labor charge just to reset a switch or a breaker. It should have been pointed out to you when you purchased it the RV, and it should be in the owners manual.

Dometic manuals leave a bit to be desired sometimes but X2 with Turbs what fridge and where is it? Others recently may have the same problem...
