Drive entertainment-no color

I have a 2017 Vibe 251RKS. It has a "Drive" entertainment DVD player model EEDV06, that only plays in black and white. I have the manual and have tried their suggestions of #1, shutting it off and back on #2 resetting default several times and yes the movies are supposed to be in color. Any help out there would be appreciated, Thanks

Check the cables. Assuming that you connected the cables correctly there are two things to check.
1. In TVs that use the same jacks for component and composite video you have to select which you want to use. If the TV is set to composite you will get a bw picture. Component video is not really red, green, blue like VGA.
2. Check the video menu of the DVD player. It may offer a choice of RGB and YPbPr. Change the setting.

Thanks, I think it is set in component but I will double check. At least this gives me a couple more things to check out. Stay tuned!
