Make sure gas is on and turn fridge to auto.
As soon as you unplug it will auto switch.
Unless your going through tunnels in the east then keep on truckin!
Its suggested to turn it off if refueling tv.

AC will not work unless hooked to shore power. Traveling with the propane on depends on what state and specifically where in the state. It is a raging controversy, about 80% say yes, 5% no, and 15% don't care one way or the other. I travel with it on.

We travel with the gas off, both for safety and legal reasons. Have not had problems keeping thing cold even on the hottest days, as long as the doors are not opened until we reach the CG.

Is it illegal in WI to run with the propane on?

We have a power disconnect on our TT. Does that need to be closed to run the Fridge when driving?

Travel with gas on, fridge nice and cold when I reach my destination. I don't turn it off until I park the unit back at the storage lot. Like someone (think it was OldCoot) mentioned, in the east (Va/Md) you have to plug over before entering tunnels and they check to make sure gas is off. Once you reach the other side you can turn back on.

I never take mine off of auto. When I plug up at home, it's powered off of Elec; unplug to go camping, the propane lights. The most effort I put into this is to listen to make sure the propane lit before taking off.

We drive with LPG on all the time except when using the Washington State Ferry System. It keeps the water hot and runs the fridge (at least it will when I get a new one next week!). The cooling unit failed on the original (11 years old), leaving the dreaded yellow powder deposit round the base of the flue.
Ah, well, just another $1500 or so into this POS.
