Just picked up new 378 xlf, DVD only plays black and white no color, but when watching direct tv that's in color. Anyone know what the fix might be.

Could be a bad video cable, how do you have it hooked up?

Consider yourself fortunate. The Genesis DVD on our new Rockwood 2604 won't play a DVD at all. We are too far from the dealer to take it back and local dealers won't touch it.

That's not good, I will try to replace cable see what that does.

So what would you do about other warranty issues? At some point you may have to return to your dealer. Send Bob Fields a PM; maybe he can help you out.

Thanks but I really don't want to fool with it. Everything else on the unit works and I wanted a bluray anyhow so I bought one.

If you are getting "luminance" (B&W) but not color chances are your setup is not correct.

How are you getting the signal to the TV?

Can you tell if it is a single yellow RCA type connector or does it have a connector that looks like a computer cable?

The one that looks like a computer cable should carry your color ad sound signals to your TV. The yellow RCA type cable has the B&W signal and color information together on the one wire (the red and white are for stereo sound).

rca yellow. there is no red or white cables sound comes thru surround sound. i have a zx75 combo thing mounted above tv

Your picture setup could be wrong.
Try other settings under "video" such as YUV TV
S-Video is not correct for a yellow RCA plug.

If none of these setting work
You might try a different video output on the ZX-75 (there are 3 of them).
You can also try a new cable.

looks like there is no remote, i cant access menu on zx75 will order one and try diffrent set up, will try different output and cable while waiing. thank you so much for your help. i will let you know how it goes
