DVD player in Wildwood will not show picture on tv

When I put a DVD in the Linear Series DVD player that's in my 26TBSS I cannot get the picture or even the menu to transfer to my tv. The sound will play through speakers and that's it. I have tried both hook ups available and cycled through all the input options on the tv and nothing.

Make sure you have component wires coming from the DVD player to the TV and set the input on TV to "component".

There are no component wires coming from the DVD player but I was thinking there should be. I assumed that since there was not that the signal went through the coax cable?

It sounds like you are missing the hookup between your DVD player unit and the TV. The coax almost always brings the TV antenna signal, and the cable hookup signal into your TV, not the DVD player video. You need to find what is missing and install it. I don't know your unit but wither an HDMI cable or component.
