Have you tried running a cleaning disc thru it yet? I had a DVD player I thought was toast because it was simply very old. I ran a cleaning disc thru it and wahlah, like magic it worked great again. Dust and dirt on the laser really messes some units up. Now I like to use a bit of air duster before hand and then put the disc in to clean it.

My Furrion system will not play Bluray DVDs. Try a regular DVD.

Have you checked if there is a parking brake interlock? If it is set, DVD will not play unless the brake is engaged. It's a safety feature n

Supposedly there is a "travel screw" that is inserted from the top of the unit that has to be removed. It's purpose is to keep the "guts" of the player from moving around while in transit from the player's mfg. The factory was suppose to remove it prior to installation in the trailer. Right or wrong, that is what I heard/read.
