Unhappy Electric heat

Trying to add a heat coil to my living area AC unit sounded very simple - but when I tried to "remove the two pin safety plug from the ceiling assembly", I pushed it into the enclosure accidentally while trying to pull it out. I tried to retrieve it, but was unsuccessful. I don't think that there are wired attached to it to plug the coil wiring into anyway. Anyone have experience or knowledge about this?

The heat strips sold as add-ons to RV ACs are more like a chill chaser as they do not produce sufficient heat to accomplish what most people are trying to do. You are much better off with one or two ( if you have 50A service) small ceramic heaters. There are quite a few threads on FRF where members were disappointed.

I am only trying to get better distribution of heat when it is not too cold. My bedroom unit does well, but I want to get the same from the living area unit. I know that I will need additional heat (furnace or other electric heaters) when it is really cold, but that is not too often in south Louisiana.
