Hi, I am having a problem with the southco wireless entry. My wife and I were at the coast of Maine last week. We had arrived at the campground and were preparing to set things up when my wife exited the camper. About 10 seconds after she closed the door it locked. Unfortunately the keys were in the camper and I didn't remember the code. Lucky for us I had already unlocked the door for storage under the bunkbeds and was able to get through that way. That evening the lock began to lock and unlock repeatedly and I finally took the door handle apart and took the electrical unit completely out. The information supplied with this particular travel trailer leaves a lot to be desired. After owning this unit for just a few months now I am very discouraged with it. It will probably be my last Forest River purchase. I am at a total loss as to what to do to solve this problem. I hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance for any information that will help me solve this problem. My travel trailer is a 2012 Forest River Grey Wolf 27 foot Bunkhouse. Beercan

kinda hard to understand why you're blaming FR for a product that they don't make.

i could understand you blaming the Southco, but FR simply installs their product.

now if you knew, for sure, that FR's installation was to blame, then i would agree.

I understand what you are saying, but this is only one concern with this travel trailer. I have found several quality problems so far and only owned it for a short time. Not all these issues concerning quality can be contributed to to others, only the manufacturer. Pardon me if I am offending you.

Did you change the factory code? It is 1234. If you need directions in changing it please let me know I can post them. If you've changed it already in at a loss. Our keypad went out and I'm fighting with dealer now to get replacement.

No, the code is the factory set, 1,2,3,4,1. This was acting up from day one. It just went crazy while we were camping. I am just going to remove everything I can that is part of this locking system. I can't for the life of me figure why type of system is necessary in the first place. The key seems to do a pretty good job of locking and unlocking the doors. I made the mistake of buying this camper from an individual that had purchased it new last year and decided he didn't care for the camping routine. So therefore I purchased a used camper and the warranty is no good on it or any of the appliances, like I said, my mistake.
