Yes but you would need to have the converter enabled. There is a 120VAC-to-12VDC converter (usually attached to or near the AC load center) that supplies 12VDC to charge the battery and run the low-voltage equipment. The converter has its own breaker in the AC load center but you would not want to turn it off because, while it might save a 1 amp draw (if only maintaining the battery), the 12 volts it produces even without charging the battery would be required to run the control electronics in the fridge if the battery itself were disconnected.
