factory satellite wiring 2015 rockwood 2109s

spent 2 days trying to get my winegard gm1518 antenna to hook up to my dish 311 receiver using their wiring...finally got things to work after hardwiring receiver and antenna with RG 6 cable. had to drill hole in my new rig .

Most likely splitters hidden in walls that don't support dish products.

Wait till you have to buy cables and after spending lots of time trying to figure why nothings working, stick an ohm meter on new cables and nobody's home! thanks, LOWES.

finally up and running

have my winegard fixed to the roof of my rockwood... that meant another hole ! and hard wired the 12v line from dish direct to the battery... took a lot of fishing getting the wires where I wanted them to go and look tidy.
little prices little dealer....a big rv dealer in Arizona are just opening another site in Prescott valley...was telling the tech about my wiring probs and how the internal satellite wiring was not working for me and he said that if the windup antenna boost power button was pushed [ lite green ],it would block signal from from satellite antenna...and mine was on ...oh well...I did want my antenna fixed hard and fast anyway.. just like on my last rig.

The splitters on the sat receiver input side may be a problem but the sat antenna coax can be disconnected from the OTA booster panel and connected directly to the sat receiver (by-passing the OTA booster) and therefore not an issue to deal with.

Wouldn't it be nice if FR would have put a little blurb in the Owner's Manual about how the devil these trailer systems were wired! I went though the same thing with my Dish satellite though the trailer wiring; you know...a small decal or stick on label next to the booster saying "In for antenna" and "OUT for satellite" wouldn't cost that much and would really have helped. I have a 2014 Windjammer 3001w and there is no, none, zero, zip, nada, nothing in the way of explaining how the h#ll they wired the coax in the trailer. Forget about it, no diagram, didn't even mention it in the manuals and I DO/DID read all and owner's manuals. I finally emailed the tech department in FR and got some guy to tell me about the splitter and booster. He said he didn't even have a wiring diagram for the coax system, ! I guess Bubba Earl is just slapping in the coax however he likes instead of by a plan. Love everything else about the trailer except they don't set it up for modern electronics and they don't tell you how to operate it.
So turn booster OFF if you are connected to your satellite or park cable, turn it ON (green light lit) if you are on your trailer antenna.
