failed Dometic a/c

During delivery of 378 FB Sierra (2 a/c's) the 15,000 unit died. We had ran the unit Wednesday, Thursday and Friday until it failed about noon. Tech found a bad coupling (looks like a telephone cord double female coupling but wires are not the same inside) in the thermostat to a/c unit wiring. Unit ran good until the next day after we had set up some 100 miles away and on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

Long story short the electronic control board was overheating and causing the coupling to overheat.

We returned to dealer on Tuesday morning. They replaced the electronic board and coupling. Unit seems to be running quite well (knock on wood) as of Saturday morning. If anyone experiences a E1 (loss of communication) error code and would like to see how I trouble shot the issue to identify the problem just let me know. I typed it up so I could send it to the techs at Starr's Trailer Sales.

As a side note. Starr's Trailer Sales in Brockway, Pennsylvania are wonderful folks to do business with. They don't forget who you are after the sale.
Enjoying God's creation each day.
