Fan blower always on high

Hi.... I've recently purchased a used 2014 233s roo.

I just noticed tonight that I can't get the fan blower to go on the low setting...both high and low setting have the same power.

Is there some resistor that needs replacing?

Are you talking about the furnace or a/c?

Both. There are four settings on the left of the thermostats...ac, fan, heat, and off. Four settings on the right of the thermostat... Auto low, Auto high, manual low, manual high.

Ours is like that also. I never did anything about it as I figured I would aways want high speed anyway.

I haven't seen that configuration. Can you post a pic?

Not much difference in air flow and noise between the high and low settings, just the way it is.

OK, I’m out. I’ve never seen one like that... no experience with those.

I have the same stat...not bragging. If you are speaking of the heater/LPG there is no low speed. I honestly don’t remember trying low speed on a/c, but I will and report back.

Have you tried blower only to see if there is a noticeable difference in speed? It might be possible the a/c type you have only functions on high speed. A google search of your a/c will tell you that if you don’t already know.

I went and checked mine.

Fan on. High or low same speed

Fan auto. High or low same speed

A/C on fan auto. High and low noticeable speed difference.

I was testing on both lpg heat and only fan. No discernable difference in high and low settings.

My temperatures weren't correct to test AC...too cold outside. This April has been rough.

I will try something else. With the fan on auto and heat. The a/c fan should not operate. Just the furnace fan(assuming the Roo is like others) operates during heat and auto fan setting. If the fan is on...then the a/c fan will run.

Maybe Roo is different

Thanks iwannacamp... Very helpful to get a baseline. The no most advanced camper I owned before this was a basic, non-electric popup. No idea what is normal on this.

If you have the fan on high or low and run the furnace you may get both the furnace and AC running at the same time.

That is what happens with the digital thermostats.

I have the same thermostat in my TT. The Auto High/Low works with the A/C running. The Manual High/Low is for when you just want to use the fan to distribute the air throughout the trailer better when using the furnace. It has no effect on the furnace blower as the furnace has only one speed. The thermostat only controls the speed for the air conditioner. The only way you will notice any big difference between high and low is with the dump vents on the a/c closed so the air goes through the ceiling vents.

I have not found any documents for only that thermostat as I cannot find a model number for it. If you can tell me the model of your A/C I may have the owners manual for it.

Both of my previous TT's had that same thermostat, but I used them so rarely for the furnace that I don't remember how they functioned.
