Fan settings on a Windjammer 2008.

I don't know if our air conditioner and fan are working correct or not. if you set the control for air conditioning and put the fan on auto the fan will cycle on and off. if you set the control to fan only and then leave the other switch in auto the fan will not cycle and the fan speed won't change whether you have it on high or low. if you switch to the on setting the fan speed still won't change from high or low. is it supposed to function like this? from my experience with other Trailer it seems to me that there's a problem somewhere.

We have a 3001w (2014)
Our main(living room) AC didn't work as I thought it should either. The unit had a very large swing of temp (+-4 degrees) between the time it would come on and when it would shut off. The FAN setting would not run just the fan at all either. The added AC in the bedroom has a digital thermostat which works great. I picked up a digital for the main and now it works perfect with a 1 degree swing fom the set temp. I have found the difference between fan speeds is very little, so you may have to listen closely.
