Fantastic Vent Fan has no Auto mode

It used to switch between Mamual and Auto mode. Now it goes on in Manual mode but pressing Auto turns it off and the settings for temp are not available to adjust. Thoughts on troubleshooting. (We are on battery)

Also it has an annoying chirp that is variable with fan speed. Anyone know if the bearings are sealed or if there is an oil spot? From above or below?

OK figured out the Auto mode thing - just turn it on manually then adjust the temp up/down buttons and it switches over to Auto. Seems different than before but who knows.

Still got the chirp.

I don't have auto and mine has never chirped. Going to have to search for a manual though because I can not figure out how to get the darn screen out to clean it.
