Fireplace Issue

I have a 2010 Sliverback that has an electric fireplace. The problem with it is that when you turn it on, it will run/heat for about 5 minutes and then shut off. I turn the switch off for about 5 minutes and then back on and it turns on and heats up again but off again in the 5 minute cycle. Any idea what might be causing this??

thanks

Our fireplace has a timer that you can set. Maybe yours is stuck on 5 minutes.

It would be great if you told us what brand it is.
Here is a picture of mine and its manual
You should have a knob for adjusting high temp (thermostat)
If the Thermostat isn't working correctly and is always on high you may have the high temp safety switch activated. Either way read your manual and double check you know how to control it. If you still have a problem take it to a RV dealer.
