flat screen removal from 2015 8280ws fifth wheel
Need some help on removing the 40 inch flat screen from the entertainment center. I can't seem to find a release tab, screw or lever to release the tv from the mounting bracket. Any one have any ideas. I need to get to the back of the tv to hookup an hdmi cord and don't have any room unless the tv is removed.

On my unit the tv was screwed into the wall by about 8 screws. Look above and below the tv for the bracket and the screws. Have since put a tv mount up that i can just pull a couple of straps to get it unhooked from the mounting bar.

Thanks for the quick reply, there is about 2 inches above the tv and 1/2 inch to the sides and maybe 4 inches below. Can't see any screws any where, may have to use a mirror to see if there is anything I can get at. Scared to pull or lift on the tv too hard.

My 2014 8289ws has the TV mounted using a slick, low-profile, factory-supplied machined aluminum mounting rails and as Oaklevel said, I lift it straight up. A few inches and the rails disengage. I liked the design of Rockwood's low-profile machined TV mounting rails so much that I ordered another set from the factory to mount the TV on my bedroom wall.

As another post said, mine also just lifted out.
I was all ready to have major TV mount surgery but couldn't see how in the heck they'd gotten the screws in! I looked for a release, nothing.
Then I thought "why not" and pulled up, TV came right out and was being held by some actually heavy aluminum bracketry. So I forgo the change to a swivel mount since it was actually installed on a good mount and know that when I swap out my TV it will be easy to do! Good luck!

If you have an outside TV mount, it will give you a clue.

I have a 2010 8280ws and the TV will not budge. Pulled up, side ways, out, jiggled and yelled at it. Will not budge. Dealership does not even know ! Need a camera to get in back there. Have not bought one yet since cost is too much for a 2 minute job. Took 40 minutes to get the HDMI Cable in the back on the left side. Had to pull it dangerously hard and far out to get back there then get right angle

We have a 2015 8280 ws and there are two screws on the bottom that you have to remove and the two screws on the top only have to be loosened and the TV will lift off . Not much room to do this . I believe they make it so tight so that when the slide comes in there is no way that the TV can hit the slide .

Get a friend with a smart phone to slip it around the sides, bottom and top taking pictures or the rear and see if any latches are detected. Just a thought.
